You’ll use eight routines that alternate between total-body cardio and resistance workouts within the 8-week calendar. You do one a day, six days a week.

All of the moves we’ve seen from this intense workout are full body as well – each day you’ll be pushed to your limits!

The workout is set up as a boot camp class. The moves are easy to learn, but they require maximum effort for those 22 minutes. Veterans have compared it to their daily PT (physical training).

I’m out of shape, can I do this workout?

Yes – there is a modifier in every workout. Plus, you can take the moves at your own speed to help you get stronger each day and challenge yourself.

You’ll need dumbbells and either a pull-up bar or a resistance band with a door attachment. In addition, you may want a jump mat or a sandbag. I used a medicine ball.

Is 22 Minute Hard Corps on DVD?

No, BODi (formerly Beachbody) has stopped making DVDs and transitioned to streaming only. You can stream 22 Minute Hard Corps with a BODi membership or Total Solution Pack.

We suggest the Performance Total Solution Pack because it includes a pre- and post- workout supplement, but you could also choose the Shakeology Pack

Our 22 Minute Hard Corps Workout Review

We tried the workouts, and love that it’s something you can do almost anywhere!

It was cardio intense, but it did use my body weight as resistance. The warm-up and cool down are very short to non-existent, but I had no problems with that or the moves.

The moves included a set certain amount of reps for each exercise:

  • T-Jacks
  • Water bug
  • Squat Thrust
  • Bear Crawls
  • Lateral Shuffle
  • Forward Lunge Twist
  • Basic Burpees
  • A-Skips
  • Run Lunge Squats
Repeat 3x – Varying the Number of Reps Each Round

Who is Tony Horton? Does he really know what he’s doing?

Legendary trainer Tony Horton created P90X, P90x2, and P90X3 and is a leader in the home-fitness industry.

He has also included military-style workouts and moves within P90X3 in the “Warrior” workout and toured dozens of military sites in the past and currently still does. We have been so honored to meet him on several occasions through Beachbody coaching.

We absolutely love him and his workouts. He has always done a great job of blending cardio, agility, strength and core strength with flexibility in his workouts, and we know this one will be just as strong.

Should I do Shakeology or the Performance Challenge Pack?

There is no bad choice. If you are needing a quick healthy breakfast or lunch, I would suggest the Shakeology pack.

If you are a meal-prep wonder and want to have MAX energy and reduce muscle soreness (while still growing muscle) I would do the Performance pack.

  1. I’ve never heard of Tony Horton before. I always find it interesting to see what new exercises regiments are coming out and to hear background behind some of their creators.

  2. I am not familiar with Tony Horton. These workouts definitely sounds like something I need after the baby is born!

    1. ummmmm very very sad you haven’t heard of Tony….but you SERIOUSLY MUST put him in your daily life. P90X-3 is only 30 min. 22 Min hardcorp takes about 30 min. You will be hungry for that body that is coming!

      1. While doing 22Hard Corps , do you add another program to your daily workouts (since it’s only 22 minutes) or not?
I was thinking adding P90X3 to it.
        What are your thoughts?
        Thank you,
        Sandra

        1. Hey Sandra! You can do it alone and get some great results if you’re also following the nutrition plan. You can also always add in something too though. I think P90X3 would be a great addition. It would be similar to the doubles schedule in P90X3. :) Does that help? Do you have any specific goals in mind? Are you working with a coach already?

  3. I have never heard of Tony Horton before. This sounds like a great workout! I bet my husband would really love this.
