What Does the Half and Half Workout by Jericho McMatthews Look Like?
Get ready to improve your endurance and flexibility in under an hour! The first half is high-intensity, circuit-style cardiovascular training designed to speed up your metabolism and pump up your endurance. The workout is 43 minutes long.
- It’s half cardio intervals and half yoga
- 5 minutes of core work right in the middle.
- Modifications offered
- Perfect for all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced
- No equipment required, but I like a yoga mat
The first 20 minutes is cardio. You go all out for a little less than a minute and have a short recover time. It’s an intense 3 rounds with 4 moves each round.
The 2nd half is 20 minutes of yoga. It is more athletic yoga than anything. It helps with flexibility and strength. I was wondering on how intense it would be – it will keep your heart rate up though!! (See my calorie burn below)
Can you do just half the workout?
Totally! You can do half in the morning and half at night. You can also choose to just do the part you like the best as well.
How many calories did I burn?
I personally burned 351 (165 during yoga and 181 in cardio). Everyone’s calorie burn will vary based on age, fitness level, and weight though.
