I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! I didn’t do a whole lot, but I did make it into our Fantasy Football Championship! :) Next Sunday is the big game! The winner gets $500, and I am thinking a troll trophy like the one off of Friends. :) I also have a big announcement – I got my first ever teaching job!
Last Friday I had a job interview for a high school math teaching position. Mind you, I graduated with a business degree and have been observing, taking tests, and studying like crazy to become a teacher the past 9 months.
Well, this morning I got a call — I got the teaching job!!!! I go on Thursday to get my books and do all the paperwork. I start in the spring and have Geometry & Algebra 2 classes. I’m so excited! Do any of ya’ll teach? Any suggestions for my first day? Classroom management? Projects? I’m all ears.
I know I am suppose to be a “healthy blogger”, but honestly, last week I struggled to get my workouts in and did not watch my calories very well. I can feel the negative effects already, and I plan on kicking butt this week. I am doing the TurboFire Inferno Plan. It’s 5 days, and it is a no-gimmick way to lose the weight you’ve put on after a bad week. You eat about 1200-1300 calories of whole foods a day and workout for approximately an hour. I am adapting the workouts suggested though. I did ChaLEAN Extreme Burn 1 and HIIT 25 today, and every muscle feels exhausted. It is so worth it though–Friday, we are doing Secret Santa with some friends, and I really don’t want to be fidgeting with a muffin top or wondering what jeans are the loosest.
