What Does a Pre Workout Supplement for Women Do?

Pre-workout supplements are designed to help you push harder in your workouts.

They can help:

  • Improve focus
  • Increase energy
  • Boost endurance.

Why do women need a pre-workout supplement?

Even after working out for years, sometimes we both need a push to change into our sports bra and go exercise.

Using a pre-workout helps give us that extra jolt of energy we need to push play on our workout, and go for it.  The other benefit of a pre-workout is that if you feel like you’re losing steam in the last bit of your workout, it can help boost you through it.

We’ve both noticed a change in our endurance and energy – especially in those last 10 to 15 minutes of a tough workout.

Beachbody Energize LIIFT4 Supplement

Why Energize is the Best Pre Workout for Women

  • Gives you a boost of energy
  • Doesn’t make you feel jittery
  • Combines 3 key ingredients to boost your workout perfomance
  • Sharpens your focus
  • Delays exercise-induced muscle fatigue
  • Contains no gimmicky ingredients or additives
  • Ingredients are clinically established effective in their serving sizes
  • No artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, or preservatives.

What makes Energize work?*

Beta-alanine

Beta-alanine is an amino acid that helps reduce lactic acid buildup in your muscles. When we’re able to reduce the amount of lactic acid in the muscles, we’re able to reduce fatigue and increase endurance during our workouts.

This ingredient can also make you feel a bit tingly 20-30 minutes after taking it. It’s totally normal.

Low-dose caffeine (from green tea & coffee bean extract)

Low-dose caffeine helps to improve your reaction time and focus, as well as, aid in reducing muscle fatigue. It provides your body and mind extra clarity.

Quercetin

The last key ingredient is this powerful phytonutrient. It’s been linked to improved endurance and delayed exercise-induced fatigue.

How & When Should You Take it?

You’ll want to take most pre-workout supplements 20-30 minutes before you workout.

With Energize, you’ll do 1-2 scoops depending on your current weight 30 minutes before exercising.

If you are new to taking a pre-workout, we suggest starting with 1/2 to 1 scoop to see how you feel on it. You should also never take more than 2 scoops per day on any pre-workout supplement in our opinion.

If you workout early, we suggest going ahead and having it ready to go right when your feet hit the floor. That way it has time to start working while you change clothes and get to your workout.

Will Taking Energize Make it Hard to Sleep?

Neither of us have had a problem sleeping while taking Energize. We usually workout between 11AM and 3PM though.

If you workout later in the day or the evening, keep in mind your body has to cool off naturally. This can take 4 hours to return to normal on its own…with or without a pre-workout.

Everyone is different so you may want to play with your pre-workout on a weekend when you can see how it affects you.

With that said, Energize won our vote because the low-dose of caffeine in Energize seems to do well for most of our clients.

Will A Pre-Workout Make Me Jittery?

We can’t speak for every pre-workout supplement out there, but Energize doesn’t make us jittery. Everyone is different though (broken record, I know)so start with a 1/2 scoop at first and see how you do.

You may also want to limit your caffeine around when you take your pre-workout. So no coffee plus pre-workout in the morning.

2 More Tips

Skip artificial sweeteners, colors, and preservatives! Make sure to read the labels – Energize contains none of those things.

You and your husband/boyfriend can take Energize. Unlike some pre-workout supplements designed for men, Energize is both effective for men and women.*
