The weekend started early because I had Friday afternoon off work. Our delicious local bakery had closed for 6 months, and it reopened 3 weeks ago. I went by and picked up two small cakes (mostly because the cupcakes were sold out by then).
By Saturday, Jake and I were in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the A Day Game. It is the spring scrimmage football game.
We stopped by Cracker Barrel before the A Day game. I ordered the Multi-berry Pancakes which were not the healthiest choice, but they were so good. It also came with eggs, but the pancakes were enough! They had blueberries inside, strawberries on top, with a blackberry topping.
We have been to Tuscaloosa together one other time. The A Day Game was much smaller than a normal game (but 73,000 people were there!). Here is the “Rama Jama” right next to the stadium.
We took a picture here last time, but Jake looked like he was ready to kill me so we took another. He refuses to show teeth in his pictures, but I think this one turned out really well. I bought a long-sleeve T-shirt, and he bought a football to get signed.
The game was a great chance to see some of the new players and those from last year. Plus there were a few of my favorites there. Never did I think I’d know football players names, but I squealed when my favorite player that graduated was there. TRENT RICHARDSON!!! I’m so weird now, I know.We had a great time, but I did end up with a burnt nose and a bit of a farmer’s tan. I guess it’s time to break out the sunscreen because the SPF in my makeup did not cut it.
Along with attending live football games, we also play fantasy football together! If you’ve never played before – it can be a lot of fun and even bring you closer together!!
Now I am looking over so many blogs for Whole 30 ideas!
I wish the book had a specific meal plan. I’ve outlined some of the Whole 30 rules & FAQs here though!
