The realization it’s Christmas time is in full swing! Last Friday our traditions and celebrations started! I absolutely love celebrating Christmas!
(Warning: As a fitness/nutrition blogger, I feel must admit I do splurge during the holidays. I make sure to keep my goals, workout, and watch my portions to keep my weight and health in check. With that said, I ate more than normal this weekend.)
Friday: Jake and I went out with some friends for dinner, secret santa, and to see all of the Christmas lights! I love the ones that hang like these in the picture. It was a lot of fun and so nice to see everyone. I ended up getting movie passes and can’t wait to see Sherlock Holmes!
Saturday: Saturday was super busy!! In the morning my mom and I went to my grandmother’s to make Pecan Logs and wrap presents. It was the first year I’ve helped make them, but they turned out so good! Here’s the recipe!
Saturday Night: CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT with cookies & milk! We busted out some of the classics….
Sunday: I recuperated and created some math pacing guides for the Spring semester.
Monday: My mom and I always do a day together around Christmas. This year we went to Cheesecake Factory (no diet today!) and shopped! I am done with all of my Christmas shopping, but I needed a couple pairs of pants for my new job and also ended up picking up some MAC makeup! I feel guilty getting it. The pants I had to have because all I own are jeans, and the MAC makeup was with early Christmas money….Do ya’ll ever get that nagging feeling though? Anyways, I got foundation, concealer, a liquid eyeliner in purple, and a Mulch eyeshadow–so pretty! I can’t wait to use them this week!!
What’s Next? Wednesday, I plan on finishing up the stockings and then going to see A Christmas Story! Is it weird that I’ve never seen the whole movie? I hope the play is good!
