This week has been NUTS after jury duty, hair, and going to the doctor’s office. I actually had to stop today, and go “Oh, tomorrow is Friday!” That means it’s time to talk about shopping for the big day and everything leading up to it!
The local Italian restaurant, the meat-and-three diner, and bakery all shut down during the July 4th week. You just know you’re not going out that week. I had no idea the florist also took this holiday though! Mom and I drove up there to find no note and a delivered package on the locked door. :(
So while I wanted to tell you about the wonderful flowers I found, I’ll have to use Pinterest instead.
I love how colorful this bouquet is! I think it will look really pretty against the golf club’s green grass.
We are planning on having our engagement pictures taken on the 23rd of this month. After my doctor’s appointment (which was no fun — even a check up gets my nerves up), my mom and I salvaged the day with a little window shopping that turned into clearance shopping. :) She has been so sweet and supportive with all of my appointments and planning for the wedding.
Ya I had to model with the knight…I mean, how often do you have a knight in the dressing room area? The dress was too boxy though.
Both were over $300 to start with, but they were marked down and then had another 50% off!! Too bad neither looked good!
We did find some winners though!! The white dress, yellow top, and orange pants were all cheaper than the original price of the pants!! SCORE!
Now I have plenty to choose from for our pictures. Plus the white dress was a very cheap shower or rehearsal outfit. :)
After shopping, my mom and I went to Carrabba’s. I had been craving it for weeks, but it isn’t one of Jake’s favorites. With us only eating one cheat meal a week, I didn’t want to choose something I only liked. The lunch menu was cheaper too. We had their oh-so-good bread and split the Tag Pic Pac. YUM!
Also Michella recommend Macy’s by Appointment — it’s a free personal shopper service!! I didn’t see the email until after I had spent my budget, but oh my goodness. A free personal shopper? I’m all over it. I may even have to recruit one to help with my wedding registry! Thanks for the tip, Michella!!
What are you doing this weekend? Where do you like to go shopping?
I think we’re going to the drive-in to see Grown Ups 2.
