What could be marvelous than wedding pictures! :) :)
I will apologize in advance – This post was written from the heart at midnight. All the grammar may be questionable.
We got our photos back a couple of weeks ago, but things have just been so busying moving, honeymooning, and just day-to-day stuff that I haven’t gotten to it. Did it seem like a whirlwind when you got married?
I knew I wanted to be in a great mood looking through them and have time to reminisce over each picture.
The day was so special and absolutely perfect!
I can’t lie – I was a total stressed-bride the week before….maybe that’s why I am just not catching my breathe almost 2 months in. When the wedding day came though, everything was amazing.
I woke up to the breakfast of champions – doughnuts from our local bakery. The baker knew my mom and me, and she even added some frosting (the secret ingredient to an amazing doughnut). hehe :)
Then we went and got out hair and makeup done. I didn’t have a bridal party because for a few (non-sad or dramatic) reasons, but it was so much fun to get ready with some of the girls in my family.
I seriously want to do this hair and makeup thing once a year for whatever reason.
My cute, new initial oxford was kind of a bust though (ironic, since my bra is showing huh? lol) My hair was too much for the shirt, and I ended up putting on my PiYo jacket once we got to the venue.
I’ve never been so excited, nervous, and just antsy as I was to walk out and see Jake for our first-look. I had to say “Jake” or something to get him to turn around, and it came out SO weird! Like out of body sounding and total nerd moment.
It was such a fun and sweet moment. I felt like that’s when all the “nerves” would go away, but I honestly was just SO excited and couldn’t believe how blessed I was to spend my whole life with him. -even sitting on the couch 2 months later in PJs next to him I get butterflies – So I was pretty much excited ALL day and night, but I was definitely happy. :)
I also couldn’t believe how gorgeous all the flowers were. They were absolutely amazing, and I was so lucky that my photographer, florist, and coordinator were all friends. They were so sweet, and Jessica- the florist- actually had to get a biggo spider off my bouquet during pictures at one point. Brave soul!
I absolutely LOVED my dress too! It was so crazy because bugs kept getting stuck in it while we took our pictures outside though. I guess I was calmer than I thought though because I was like, “who cares?! We’re getting MARRIED!….well, unless they are big and going to get me.”
This picture pretty much sums up our wedding and us period. High tops and superman….yea, that’s about it.
Two candids I really liked. I absolutely loved our caketopper from Etsy. When it arrived (only 2 weeks before the wedding), it was broken. We had broken arms and fingers, but I was able to super glue it.
This is also one of my favorites below. We planned the wedding for over a year, kept it very small and intimate, and had tons of ideas of what it would be like….and it was so much better than I had imagined and just felt completely surreal.
Our photographer, Rebecca Walker, was amazing and took so many great photos. :)
Did you have a big or small wedding?
Did you cry? I only cried when I saw my dad for the first time – not Jake – my dad! LOL!
How did you meet your husband?
(Yes, I gave you a lot of questions today, but I’m such a sucker for anything love-y!)
