While I have cut back significantly this year, teaching has led me to the bubbly bottle again. I researched sweeteners to help make a better choice, but none of them are wonderful for the body.
Why I Drink Diet Coke – Caffeine and Flavor
Knowing WHY I drink it has led me to try coffee. I know several people want to give up the brew because of the caffeine effects, but right now I am not willing to tackle that. I just want off the bubbles and sweeteners.
Caffeine actually has health benefits linked to the body and mind.
These two facts from Runners World really hit me:
- It can help runners decrease their time and boost brain productivity.
- It can also help with recovery time after a workout.
Coffee also has health benefits.
Harvard University did a study on the health benefits and found coffee could help prevent diseases. Harvard lists that the risk of Parkinson’s and Diabetes may go down with coffee consumption. The dark drink may also help cholesterol and blood pressure.
As a new coffee drinker, I have to ask…
