Last weekend Jake and I were finally able to go see Chris Janson and Keith Stegall at Puckett’s!! Remember the Bunganut pig night when the show was sold out?? That was fun, but this was better! Once Jake gets something in his head, it has to happen. Can ya’ll see why we get along so well yet? Both artists are country musicians and songwriters. The show was so good. I don’t know how Chris Janson isn’t on the radio
(except popular country music right now is awful!). Keith Stegall is a famous, great songwriter. This was our second time seeing Chris, but Keith was a huge surprise! They both are so talented and humble. (I actually met Chris’s wife, and she was a sweetie too). I LOVED the show. Puckett’s was also a great place to see a show. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house! They also had a great Southern Fried Chicken with potatoes! YUM!
For Easter, my family and Jake went to brunch. After, Jake & I went to see American Reunion. It was really good! I was slightly nervous, but I’d rank it up there with the 1st one.
After heavily and happily abusing the 10% splurge in my diet, I am ready to get back to my 90% healthy. I love oatmeal for breakfast, but I know plain oats can get boring.
Here are a few of my favorites oatmeal recipes:
Also see, Power Up Your Oatmeal for some healthy add-ins too! ***please note, I am not a pretty-picture foodie. My oats don’t look as pretty as the first picture*** —Strawberry Overnight Oats (pictured above) Morning Dessert Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal 1/2 cup oats 1 cup water 2 tbsp flaxseed 2 tbsp PB2 (powdered peanut butter) Chocolate syrup drizzled 1 tsp Stevia Blueberry Cinnamon Oats Powered up oats handful of blueberries 2 tsp cinnamon Chocolate Chip Crunch 1/2 cup oats Granola & chocolate chips (I got it already mixed at Earth Fare) And my favorite…. I’m sorry for the less than perfect pictures, but I wanted to show my breakfast favorites. What about you? What do you like? Do you mix it up or keep it the same?
