One thing we can never have too much of in our house is Sabra Hummus! Have you ever tried it? I actually remember the first time my dad brought some home years ago.
I had never had it before, and it was before it got pretty popular. I immediately fell in love with it because of the flavor and consistency.
That was just the Classic Hummus too! Now, I’m a bit of a self-proclaimed hummus connoisseur. While the classic is great, I love Sabra’s Sun Dried Tomato Hummus and Supremely Spicy Hummus on crackers, too!
It’s funny to me how some people have never tried it though.
When we first got married, I brought home my normal Sabra hummus selection, and Jake had no idea what it was.
He also was a little hesitant to try it – because in all fairness, I do try a lot of new foods.
What can I say?? I just love mixing in wholesome snacks because it keeps me from getting bored. He also usually benefits from my food adventures too.
One Saturday, he pulled out the Supremely Spicy Hummus and asked me if I ate it with a spoon.
I mean, I guess you could, but I handed him some crackers. The rest was history!!
Now, we keep one or two in the house most weeks.
It’s such a great everyday snack whether you’re hungry mid-morning or want a little something after dinner.
Plus I feel really good about eating it because it has such wholesome ingredients.
You also don’t have to eat it with just crackers.
To be 100% honest – I’m not a great vegetable eater. I even started eating hummus on pita bread back in the day.
Now, I find that I’m more likely to eat fresh, raw vegetables if I have hummus to dip them in!
My Favorite Dippers:
- Raw broccoli
- Of course….crackers!
While I usually stick to vegetable-dippers, I do still enjoy it on pitas or crackers occasionally too.
I’ll even use it in place of mayonnaise on a sandwich!!
It just adds a little pop of flavor without overpowering the sandwich. I use it on ham or turkey sandwiches a lot!
I also take it to parties!
It also makes such a pretty spread and adds variety at any dinner party we have!
We go to so many different get-togethers around the holidays and in the summer, and a tray with vegetables, crackers and hummus is always such a hit!
Plus, they have so many varieties of flavors we never get bored!
Jake and my favorites are probably the Classic Hummus and Sun Dried Tomato Hummus, but we’ve not tried one we didn’t like.
I love the Classic Hummus on toast as a quick, yummy mid-morning snack. It’s what I started with so many years ago – so it’s just a good comfort food first thing in the morning.
I also love how versatile, delicious and convenient it is.
Even when our schedule is packed, I know I have time to put Sabra Hummus into a small container and pack fresh vegetables to munch on!
Needless to say, whether you eat it with veggies, a pita or on toast, it’s a great everyday snack.
Don’t Be Afraid to Try New Flavors
If you’re like me you might feel drawn to keep buying Sabra’s Classic Hummus, but I dare you to try a different flavor!
On the other hand, if you’re scared to try it – why not pick a flavor combination you know you like to eat already like Pine Nut or Dry Roasted Tomato.
If you like something with a little heat to it, I bet you’ll like Sabra’s Supremely Spicy Hummus.
It’s one of Jake’s favorites, and he loves all things spicy! The name doesn’t lie either – it packs some heat!
No matter if you go with the classic or a different variety, you can still rest assured it’s a great, wholesome snack you’ll be buying again and again.
Where to Get Your Sabra Hummus
I buy my Sabra Hummus at my local Publix where I grocery shop each week. It’s in the deli section.
They have a ton of variety including Roasted Pine Nut Hummus and Roasted Garlic Hummus.
