This year has been filled with things I never thought I’d do; therefore, I wanted to do a Beachbody coach review of 2013.
As Beachbody coaches, my mom and I help our clients and team stay focused on their goals. We also hold monthly challenges and a year-round accountability group to keep everyone excited about their progress. It has been a natural fit for both of us, and we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to quit our full-time jobs teaching high school to be coaches. We are doing something we love, helping people, and have grown in our own health and fitness so much in the past 12 months. (view our Beachbody Coach Guide)

While we were still working, we qualified for Beachbody’s Success Club Trip to Disney World! My mom and I hadn’t been since I was 5, and it was an amazing trip.
Besides getting to meet Mickey and Minnie and ride the teacups until we were ready to toss our cookies, it was so cool to finally meet Mindy and Jenelle, our mentors.
There were also sunrise workouts with Shaun T before T25 came out right outside of Epcot!
On June 3rd, Jake and I got engaged. Not exactly a part of the Beachbody coach review, but it was still a very special day. I will always mention it when given the chance. :P
About 2 weeks later, my mom, Jake and I were off to Las Vegas for Beachbody’s Coach Summit. Before heading into the conference though, we rented a cute little Ford Fusion, and Jake bravely and confidently drove through the Vegas traffic. Old Vegas was such a cool experience, and the room at MGM, where Summit was hosted, was awesome.
During Beachbody’s Summit, there is so much to do. They have 2 or 3 general sessions where new products are released, breakout training sessions, morning and afternoon workouts, and meet-and-greets. I was lucky enough to get a hug from the beast, and he smelt really good. lol!
At Summit, you can also attend parties if you qualified for them. My mom and I were able to go to both. The first night was a pool party with an all-white theme, and the second night was in MGM’s night club. There we got to meet Chalene!
We also had the chance to meet and talk to Dan and Joel from Les Mills Pump.
Both guys were so nice and down-to-earth. It is still weird to get to finally meet someone that is “in your living room” telling you to keep going during your workouts everyday.
When we got home, my mom and I went wedding dress shopping, and we were able to pay for my dress in full. Just 3 years ago, I would have been panicked about how we were going to pay for the dress and stayed up all night worrying. This picture reminds me of how much has changed for the better in 2013.
We were also able to go on a family vacation to Panama City Beach.
It was our last trip as an engaged couple! Next year, we’ll be married!!
In September, Beachbody has a Beachbody Coach Leaderhip Retreat. To me, it was Summit, but it was so much more laid back. I absolutely loved it. It was my first chance to go to California, and everything about the trip was like “pinch me!” We went a day early and spent the day at the beach.
Then, we met Carl Daikeler and Jon Congdon the first night we were there. We had mini-hamburgers, sushi and other little finger foods while getting to catch up with our friends. It is always so much fun to get to see them. I know we talk online a lot, but there is nothing like getting to see and chat with everyone.
Just like Summit, the Beachbody Coach Leadership Retreat has general sessions over everything coming out and how to help our clients and coaches. This year we were able to meet Autumn Calabrese, the newest trainer, and learn all about the 21 Day Fix. Tony Horton was also there sharing more about P90X3. It was great to see Traci again too. She is such a sweetheart; this was us “giving attitude.”
The last night of the event, Beachbody hosted a “Western Party.”
This was our father-son and mother-daughter shot with Carl and his daddy, Mr. Daikeler.
We also had the chance to try out PiYo for the first time with Chalene Johnson. I really hope it’s her new workout coming out soon!
At leadership, you could also register to be one of 12 coaches to try the 21 Day Fix in a coach test group. I applied and crossed my finger, and I actually got it!! I couldn’t believe it! I lost 11.5 lbs with the program, and I am already in my second round of it. It is an awesome workout (view more on it).
My Beachbody Coach Review of 2013 was something I could have never expected even a year ago at this time. My mom and I set small, weekly and monthly goals, and we focused on just being ourselves and helping others. If we can do it anyone can, and it is such a rush!
