As a mother-daughter duo, we have learned a lot from Gilmore Girls. To celebrate the upcoming 4-part reunion, we are recapping 15 life lessons that Lorelai, Rory and the gang taught us.
1. Eating pizza is a lifestyle. Everything in moderation!
2. You really do have to have your priorities in order when it comes to men.
3. Life’s not fair, but eventually you’ll find your Doyle.
4. The best way to celebrate turning 21.
5. Monday’s always come around – but consider yourself lucky….your Monday doesn’t don’t include Luke having a secret daughter and putting off the wedding. >.<
6. No one should be above some personal development and positive self-talk.
7. How to do Europe right as a classy lady. Even Emily has to cut loose every now and then.
8. Sometimes people are just more stupid than normal. It’s best to just not say anything at all.
Would you like to save this?
9. You and your mom may disagree on things, but she means well in her own weird way.
10. Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t. Be strong, know what you want and go get it like Lorelai and Rory (and never steal a boat).
11. Cupcakes always help.
12. Celebrate every birthday in style. You’re never too old for pink, fur or giant pizzas.
13. and of course our dream to eat like they do and still stay skinny.
14. Maybe it’s all the coffee. You always need more coffee.
15. Momma always knows best. If you have a relationship with your mom, you’re very blessed.
We also love to recreate all of the tongue-out pictures shared during Rory’s graduation.
I know my mom and I would be close no matter what, but this show came at the perfect time for us. Did you watch Gilmore Girls with your mom? We’re already planning our movie night party when the reunion airs!
Im thinking I may need to BINGE WATCH this show. I never watched it when it was on TV but it was insanely popular (I was the 7th Heaven type of girl, haha)… This also happened to me with FRIENDS and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER – I watched them when all the seasons were over so I could just watch all the way through! Here I come NETFLIX!
I really like all the points you have made.
