BarkBox has become a family staple around this house like milk or bread! Roxy had her first “Bark Box Day” in April, and now Izzie, my mom’s poodle, is in on the toys & treats too!
I received the product free, and I am now an affiliate.
Roxy was thrilled by the opportunity to say the least.
I guess she could smell the treats through the box. She knew it was for her pretty quickly, and her excitement was absolutely adorable.
Yes – we’re the type to treat her as our kid. But this even had my husband laughing and enjoying the experience.
How BarkBox Works
It’s a subscription service for your pup.
You subscribe based on your dog’s size. Then they ship you a box immediately. After that each box ships on the 15th of the month.
They allow you to select your dog’s size to create a box right for them (0-20lbs, 20-50lbs, or 50lbs+).
She’s 15lbs, and this was perfect for her!
You can also let them know if your dog has allergies or is an extra-heavy chewer.
What Comes in a BarkBox?
Each month’s BarkBox has a theme – and dang wasn’t this adorable?
What You Get With BarkBox:
- 2 Toys
- 2 Full Bags of All Natural Treats
- A Chewy Stick
- Themed Brochure
The theme brochure featured the toys and 2 “drool-worthy” cocktails – one for humans and one for the pups.
You can also do add-on extras for your pup.
BarkBox Toys
The 2 toys are too cute, and they have survived for a week now. Out of the two, the Toucan is her favorite, but the coconut drink is precious.
They both feel pretty sturdy and were great for her size.
What if they tear up the toy?
My friend has a lab that destroys toys left and right. She recently subscribed and had such a great experience too!
Her pup tore apart one toy within hours, and they sent an awesome replacement after asking her what types of toys she likes and gives her more of a challenge.
BarkBox Treats
Miss Picky Eater loved these treats! They smell good too.
Besides her liking them – which is always a challenge – the ingredients were really impressive.
There wasn’t one ingredient I couldn’t pronounce. They also made in the USA!
The first ingredient in the duck treats – was duck! The pork treats’ first ingredient was pork! Yay!
I know this sounds like common sense, but I had bought “fancy” apple treats for her before — first ingredient…not apple. It was whole grain rice.
So the fact that the ingredients are clear to understand, and their main ingredient is the actual treat means a lot to me.
Roxy goes nuts for these too!
Is BarkBox Worth it?
Absolutely!
I really thought you were paying for the experience, but the products are actually a higher quality than I’ve found at pet stores.
I loved seeing her little face light up too!
How much is it?
Normally it’s about $20 a month, but it can depend on what you pick out too.
