What We Tried

We received beef ribeye steaks, beef flat iron steaks, beef filet mignon, boneless pork chops, pork tenderloin, and ground beef.

From the Good Chop menu, we recommend the ribeyes, filets, and pork tenderloin! All of them have tasted better than what we’ve bought at the grocery store before!

We also loved the pork chops, flat iron steaks, and ground beef.  We used the hamburger to make tacos, and they turned out great!

Updated May 22: We’ve found our favorites to be the New York strip steaks and filet mignons. We’ve also tried their flat iron steak, ranch steaks, and pork chops. We plan on trying their chicken breasts and stew meat in our next delivery.

How much does Good Chop cost?

Good Chop offers 2 customizable plans. The medium box has 36 portions and is $149 ($4.14 per meal), and the large box is $269. The large box includes 72 portions which makes it a bit cheaper per meal.

While it may be a chunk to pay at once, you do get a lot of meat (and/or seafood), and it’s coming from American family farms.

Final Thoughts

Out of subscription services, we’ve liked our Good Chop subscription better than Butcher Box or Rastelli’s. We’ve been really impressed with the high quality meat. All of our orders have also arrived in perfect condition and on the correct delivery day.

Good Chop is 100% worth it if you’re looking for a convenient way to get dinner on the table. It can be time consuming and daunting to find certain cuts of meat and seafood at the store, and this has been such a help with meal planning!

Plus, if I don’t want to cook or grill immediately, the meat and seafood stays good for up to a year in the freezer! So I don’t have to worry about the meat spoiling.
