Have a late night munchie?? Or even still hungry after dinner? After dinner is usually when my sweet tooth kicks in, and I’m wanting something sweet.
I love this Protein P.M. Fix Smoothie for a satisfying, guilt free treat!
Protein P.M. Fix Smoothie
6 oz skim milk
1/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 T reduced fat natural peanut butter
1 scoop of whey protein isolate powder (or chocolate Shakeology)
Honey to taste (optional)
Blend all items in a blender until desired consistency
The Low Down on the Guilt Free Ingredients
I know, you’re thinking…Cottage cheese? Really? Seriously! I cannot stand cottage cheese on it’s own or with fruit, but I do like it in a smoothie. It makes it really creamy. Plus cottage cheese is going to be packed with protein which helps fuel your muscles, and it also keeps your full.
I also use Shakeology instead of just a plain whey protein isolate powder. I like Shakeology because it’s low-glycemic which helps with my blood sugar before bed. I also like that it has digestive enzymes and probiotics in it. (Read my full review here)
You can also use Stevia to sweeten the guilt free smoothie as well. The skim milk and banana will also help sweeten the smoothie up naturally as well.
