My mom and I made a few St Patrick’s Day Treats last week, but our favorite recipe was these Magical Rice Krispie Treats!

St Patrick's Day Treats

Along with the Rice Krispies, we also made Shamrock Shakes and Pot of Gold Smoothies plus Leprechaun Popcorn! The really cool part about all 3 recipes is that kids can help with making them. We got the idea to do fun St Patrick’s Day Treats after our 9 year old niece was making regular ones last week.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 4 cups of marshmallows
  • 5 cups of Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1/4 cup green Sixlets or M&Ms
  • Sprinkles to your desired amount
  • approximately 3/4 cup of Lucky Charm’s marshmallows – We bought the St Patrick’s Day Lucky Charms and sat and picked out the marshmallows while chitchatting about the week. We used them in this recipe and our St. Patty’s Popcorn. It sounds terrible to pick out the marshmallows, but it was fun. We even ate a few along the way.

Then remove it from the microwave and mix in your Rice Krispie cereal. We did about 2 cups at a time. Once it’s combined, stir in the Lucky Charms, candy and sprinkles.

Place in a 9 x 13 pan. We sprayed our pan first with Pam to make it easier to cut and pull out the St Patrick’s Day treats.

It makes about 12 servings.

We started cutting them immediately and putting them on plates, but you can choose to let them sit for a little while and then cut to make it easier.

Don’t forget our other St Patrick’s Day Treats!

How does your family celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
