St. Patrick’s Day is coming up quick! While mom and I eat healthy most of the time, we do love a treat! This popcorn is so good and festive! We’ve also had a lot of fun trying out a St Patrick’s Day recipe or two.

St Patricks Day Popcorn

After finishing up some work and getting in my Insanity Max 30 workout, we splurged on an afternoon making treats! We not only made this popcorn, but we slurped on homemade Shamrock ShakesSt. Patrick’s Day Cookies, and rice krispie treats.

It was so much fun, and this popcorn is so easy to make! It’s perfect to do with kids too because it doesn’t require any cooking, and we -even as adults- had fun picking out the toppings to mix in!

St Patrick's Day Recipe for Popcorn

While you can melt 3 tbsp of sweet cream butter and 3 cups of mini marshmallows to make it sweet, we added enough toppings to make it sweet enough! But if you’re looking for something a little sweeter or to have the toppings stick together more, the just melt the butter and marshmallows together in a microwave safe bowl and pour on top of the popcorn and toppings.

St Patrick’s Day Popcorn Recipe

  • About 5 Cups of Popcorn
  • Salt to taste
  • Green Sixlets or M&Ms – Green
  • Pretzels dipped in Green Melting Chocolate
  • Lucky Charms Shamrock Marshmallows
  • Sprinkles of Your Choice (We found Shamrocks on Amazon)
  • Optional: 3 tbsp sweet cream butter and 3 cups mini marshmallows melted

Mix together – adding in the melted butter and marshmallow mixture while it’s still warm if you so choose. It will help it all stick together, but it can leave your hands sticky so pros and cons. :)

We picked out about 1/3 of the Lucky Charm Shamrock Marshmallows while sitting and chatting about the day. We also may have drunk a 2nd helping of a Shamrock shake too.

We also just used popcorn from a bag. You can always pop your popcorn on the stove or microwave using the instructions provided on its label. We just kept it easy.

The St Patrick’s Day recipe is a simple and fun to celebrate the holiday.

How is your family celebrating?
