Here’s what you need to know about EllieMD’s peptide treatments whether you’re looking for affordable GLP, GIP, or other peptides.

What is EllieMD?
EllieMD is a telehealth platform that connects you to licensed providers who can create for you a personalized weight loss or longevity plan based on your goals and health history.
They provide prescription-grade peptides through licensed providers and 503A & 503B compounding pharmacies, and it’s super simple to get started.
You’re able to shop on your own, and then you go through an easy intake form and consultation.
After your consultation, prescriptions are fulfilled through certified compounding pharmacies and shipped directly to your door.
I was shocked by how simple, accessible, and affordable it all was.
What stands out about EllieMD is that it’s not just one product, it’s a customizable system.
The transparency and product quality is also unmatched.
You aren’t working with an Instagram expert, you’re getting connected to a qualified healthcare provider and high-quality patient support.
If you’ve not checked out the platform before, you can browse EllieMD and all of their products here.

What Peptides Does EllieMD Offer?
While EllieMD offers weight loss peptides like GLP, GIP, and GLP-1 sublingual drops, they also offer a variety of peptides like sermorelin, NAD+, glutathione.
They also have treatments like PT-141, tadalafil (“The Thrill Pill”), topical sprays, and skincare for those not looking for injections.
Everything they offer is prescribed through their doctor network and fulfilled through a 503A or 503B certified pharmacy partner.
I also did an article specifically about EllieMD’s weight loss options you might like.

A little bit about me
I’m 55 and going through some of those lovely changes women hit in their 40s and 50s.
I’m at a healthy weight, enjoy working out 3-5x a week, and my favorite exercises are strength training and walking.
I looked at EllieMD after my functional doctor suggested a micro-dose of GLP for longevity and reducing inflammation after a Crohn’s diagnosis.
My Personal Experience With Peptide Treatments
EllieMD has been a huge help to me. I love that they prioritize patient safety, use 503A/503B pharmacy fulfillment centers, offer customer service, and everything ships within a couple of business days.
I started with a GLP micro-dose, and then bumped up to a GLP/GIP. I’ve noticed a difference in my inflammation with the micro-dose.
I also take their glutathione, and I’ve noticed my energy has improved.

Ellie MD Skincare
I plan on trying their ElleVitale+ skincare next.
It’s a combination of prescription-strength Tretinoin, GHK-Cu peptide, NAD+, and Spilanthol. It also has Niacinamide, Vitamin C MAP, Hyaluronic Acid, and PhytoCellTec™ Exosomes in it as well. Everyone that I’ve seen use it has had such pretty skin!
It helps with fine lines, wrinkles, boosts collagen, and strengthens the skin barrier.
But if your goal is weight loss, the results they’ve had are wonderful.

What Are Peptides? Overview of GLP-1, GIP, and Other Peptides
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body.
In simple terms, they help “tell” your body what to do—whether that’s regulating appetite, supporting metabolism, or influencing recovery and energy.
The most common peptides you’ll see with EllieMD are GLP-1 and GIP-based compounds.

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) helps:
- Reduce appetite
- Slow gastric emptying (so you feel full longer)
- Support blood sugar regulation
GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) works alongside GLP-1 and may enhance metabolic effects when combined (like in tirzepatide-style formulations).
These aren’t “fat loss shortcuts” or “a way to cheat”.
They’re tools that may support specific functions in the body when used appropriately under medical guidance.

EllieMD also offers a GLP+ Support shake which is designed to help you get in your protein. With my micro-dose, I prioritize hitting my protein goal everyday and strength training 2-4x a week.

EllieMD oFFERS oTHER peptides like:
Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin can help with viseral fat loss, body composition, cognitive function, and wound healing.
Sermorelin
Sermorelin is often used for recovery, sleep, and growth hormone support.

NAD+ Nasal Spray
NAD+ can help with brain fog and cellular decline.
PT-141
PT-141 is used for sexual health and libido support.

Glutathione
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that promotes immune function, reduces inflammation, and promotes healthy skin.
Potential Side Effects and Safety Considerations
So many people are talking about and taking GLP, GIP, and peptides right now, but it isn’t just a random supplement you order off Amazon.
You should take your treatment decision seriously and review the professional medical advice before starting anything.
GLP-1 and similar compounds can come with side effects, especially in the beginning, such as:
- Nausea
- Digestive discomfort
- Reduced appetite (sometimes too much)
- Fatigue
Peptides and other treatments may have their own side effects depending on the specific compound.
Also worth noting:
Many compounded medications (including some GLP-1 options like sublingual drops) are not FDA-approved in that form
EllieMD connects you with licensed providers, which adds a layer of oversight, but it’s still important to ask questions, understand what you’re taking, and listen to your body.

Is EllieMD worth it?
Compared to traditional prescriptions or in-office clinics, telehealth platforms like EllieMD are often more accessible and convenient.
You’re paying for:
- Medical provider access
- Customized protocols
- Compounded medications shipped to your door
- Unlimited Messaging with a dedicated team of doctors and specialists
That said, it’s not the cheapest option out there.
The value comes down to whether you:
- Want personalization vs. a one-size-fits-all plan
- Want transparency and quality control offered by a 503A / 503B pharmacy
- Want that provider approval before starting something new
- Plan to actually follow through with the protocol
FSA / HSA
While FSA and HSA payments are accepted, EllieMD doesn’t work with insurance and won’t submit claims.
I know a lot of the time insurance will say these are elective options and will not cover them.
EllieMD’s website does say that most prescriptions and supplements may qualify for HSA/FSA, but they also encourage customers to confirm eligibility with their plan administrator prior to checkout.
How Much Does EllieMD Cost?
Pricing can vary quite a bit depending on:
- The specific treatment (GLP-1, peptides, etc.)
- Dosage of the vial and protocol
- Add-ons or bundled services
To find out how much you’d be paying, you’ll need to shop and then go through their consultation process.
With that said, you can see pricing on their website here.
Does EllieMD Have Payment Plans?
EllieMD primarily operates on a monthly subscription-style model which helps spreads out the cost. They also offer flexible payment plans through Klarna and PayPal Pay Later.
Also, EllieMD does offer a Brand Partnership program where you’re basically an affiliate.
Some people use to offset the cost or turn it into an income stream.
You don’t get a discount on your orders as a Brand Partner, but you do make a commission off your personal orders!
If you’re wondering what that actually looks like (and what people are really earning), I break it down here: How EllieMD Brand Partner Make Money.
How Much Is Tirzepatide on EllieMD?
At this time its $239 a month or $717 for the 3 month supply. You are required to purchase the 3 months at once because it normally takes at least the required time (some are just two months) to see the full effect.
You do have to fill out a medical questionnaire and go through a consultation to get your personalized formula though.
What Compounding Pharmacy Does EllieMD Use?
EllieMD gets its pharmaceutical-grade peptides and compounds from U.S.-based, regulated 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies including Clover, a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy.
They adhere to strict safety, sterility, and quality standards, including using FDA-registered raw ingredient suppliers.
You can also request pharmacy details before starting.

Who Owns EllieMD?
EllieMD was founded by Hanieh Sigari, who currently serves as the CEO.
She has a background in biochemistry and has spent over 25 years in the beauty and wellness space, which gives some context for how the platform is positioned—blending wellness, preventative care, and direct-to-consumer access.
EllieMD also operates with a community-based, ambassador-style model, which is a little different from traditional telehealth platforms.
If you’re curious how that works (or whether it’s something you’d actually want to be part of), I break it down here: What Is an EllieMD Brand Partner & Is It Worth It?
Is EllieMD Third-Party Tested?
EllieMD itself is a platform, not a manufacturer. That’s why it’s important to make sure they continue to use 503A and 503B pharmacies.
These facilities must adhere to strict batch testing, quality controls, and safety standards. They also have to be compliant with NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy) standards.
Is It Easy to Cancel an EllieMD Subscription?
Yes, the process to cancel an EllieMD subscription is simple and straight forward.
You can cancel your subscription by logging into your account and going to the “Manage Subscription” section. From there, you’re able to initiate cancellation without needing to call or email.
That said, there are a few important things to know:
- There is a 12-week (3-month) commitment for weight management programs (GLP, GIP, etc)
- If you cancel early, you’re still responsible for the full cost of that 12-week contract
- Subscriptions auto-renew, so you’ll need to cancel at least 72 hours before your next billing date to avoid being charged again
- Because medications are custom-compounded, they are non-refundable once processed
So while it’s easy to click “cancel,” it’s not a cancel-anytime, no-commitment setup.
And just like with prescriptions you get locally, you can’t get a refund.
Is EllieMD expensive?
This is one of the most common questions.
Because EllieMD offers prescription-grade treatments and a full telehealth experience, it can be more of an investment than traditional supplements.
That said, they do offer flexible payment options like Klarna and PayPal Pay Later, which can make it more manageable to get started.
Can’t I get the same results from supplements?
Supplements can absolutely support your health—but they’re typically general and not personalized.
EllieMD uses prescription-grade compounds that are designed to support your body at a deeper, cellular level. Everything is tailored to you, based on your health information and goals.
So it’s not necessarily better or worse, it’s just a different level of support.
Is EllieMD legitimate?
I completely understand this question—there’s a lot out there in the wellness space, and skepticism is valid.
What stood out to me is that EllieMD is a telehealth platform that works with licensed medical providers and regulated pharmacies.
These are prescription-based treatments, not over-the-counter supplements or trends. That structure adds a level of credibility that you don’t always see in this space.
Is EllieMD safe?
Safety is a big deal, and it should be.
With EllieMD, everything goes through a licensed medical provider. You’re not ordering something random online or guessing what might work.
Your information is reviewed, and if approved, your prescription is filled through a legitimate pharmacy. That personalized process is what helps ensure it’s appropriate for you.
Do I really need a prescription?
Yes! A licensed provider reviews your health information to determine whether a treatment is a good fit for you.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all supplement approach. It’s personalized, prescription-based care designed around your specific needs.

Once you find the products you’re interested in, you’ll be asked to complete a short health questionnaire. It’ll also ask you to put in your payment method and checkout.
A medical professional will look over your questionnaire and see if you are a candidate for your requested treatment.
This is typically done quickly and you’ll hear back either way.
