Single Serving Blueberry Chia Jam Toast

What You’ll Need

  • ¼ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

How to Make Blueberry Chia Seed Jam

  • Microwave the blueberries on high for 60 seconds in a microwave safe dish. This will soften the berries and allow the juices to seep out.
  • Add chia seeds to the bowl and mix them well with the blueberries.
  • Allow the mixture to set for about 5 minutes. This will give the chia seeds time to absorb some of the liquid and create a thicker consistency.
  • Stir the blueberry-chia mixture again to ensure it’s well combined.
  • Once the blueberries and chia seeds have set, spoon them onto the yogurt-
covered toast. Drizzle any leftover liquid from the blueberries over the top of your smoothie, oatmeal, or toast.

Enjoy your toast with jammy blueberries and chia seeds!

Blueberry Chia Seed Jam Toast

For our blueberry chia jam toast we do the bread, 2 tablespoons flavored Greek yogurt, ricotta, or cottage cheese

Note: We use Ezekiel bread, and if you need something gluten-free, it’s a great bread choice!

If you need a little more protein in the morning, we like to have the toast with an egg or two!

Could you use other berries?

Yes, we’ve done this with other frozen berries as well! Our other favorite is raspberry!

Does fresh berries work?

No, you need frozen berries for this chia jam recipe to work. This is because the frozen berries give you more juice.
