I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!
Luke 2:10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
We had so much going on the past 2 days, but it was so much fun. I can’t believe how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family. Here is a recap of why I have been MIA the past 2 days…
Christmas Eve Morning we went to visit Jake’s family. They are so sweet and remind me so much of my own. His cousins just got back from Disney World, and Sawyer, their 8 year old, was so anxious for Santa. We had probably a little too much fun teasing him about the naughty and nice list and whether Santa could just leave his presents in China if he acted up on their way home. He’s always a good sport though…especially after Santa made it!
His family now knows me so well. I love my Hello Kitty Alabama T- shirt, as well as, everything they picked out for me. I hope I did as well on their presents!
Even the mailman knew it was Christmas Eve. My mom ordered me Us Weekly from Living Social as an early Christmas present; it’s my guilty, sleeze habit. Then, I won the RKS Workout Program and can’t wait to try it out while doing the Eat Clean Challenge I’m hosting! It’s a $119.95 program with 16 different workouts. I know it’s going to kick my butt. The Banana Republic dress is a $12 (after shipping!) eBay purchase.
Christmas Eve Dinner with my grandparents is always my favorite part of Christmas. My dad makes the best honey ham, and then my mom and I fix the rest of dinner. I tried a few of my Pinterest recipes too! The apple cake was very good, but next time I am doubling the icing! We opened up presents after dinner. Izzie had her “indestructible toy for large dogs” spitting cotton within 10 minutes. :)
Christmas Morning we opened up our stockings and a couple of presents before breaking out the leftover ham and fixing eggs and biscuits.
Our last stop was to see everyone at my great grandmothers. I can’t imagine having a stressful get together with relatives I only saw once a year. I feel like my close knit, small family is one of the biggest gifts God could have ever given me.
2 Corinthians 9:15 (KJV) Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
What was your favorite thing about Christmas this year?
