Does taking hair vitamins really work?

Yes! One double blind clinical study found hair vitamins can help with overall hair volume, thickness, and scalp coverage in as little as 3 months.

Additionally, hair’s skin, smoothness, and moisture retention can also increase in the following 3 months.

How long does it take for hair vitamins to work?

Clinical trials show that women see results in 3 to 6 months typically, but everyone’s results may vary.

Results can include less shedding and breakage, increased thickness, stronger strands of new hair, and even faster hair growth according to Nutrafol’s clinical studies.

What affects women’s hair growth?

The Mayo Clinic reported that the main contributors to a change in women’s hair growth are hormonal changes (i.e, pregnancy, childbirth, or thyroid issues), medical conditions, medications and medical treatments (i.e, radiation therapy), or stress from an event (i.e, physical illness or emotional shock).

Family history and a continual poor diet can also play a role.

Do hair vitamins make you have facial hair?

Thankfully, no! Facial and body hair are triggered by different factors, and both Codeage and Nutrafol both have Saw Palmetto.

This ingredient helps combat DHT and could actually prevent facial hair growth.

What vitamin is best for hair growth?

Vitamin B7, also known as biotin, is the best vitamin for healthy hair growth because it stimulates keratin production which increases the hair follicles growth. Biotin is found in several foods including eggs, meat, fish, nuts, sweet potatoes, and some seeds.

Along with biotin, we found that ashwagandha, turmeric with black pepper, vitamin E with resveratrol, saw palmetto (DHT blocker) and marine collagen can also help with stronger hair growth.

We also love to take Codeage’s Marine Collagen for our joints and for skin health.

What product has same ingredients as Nutrafol?

Codeage Hair Vitamins have similar ingredients as Nutrafol supplements, and it’s half the price!

You take 4 pills with or without food either brand.

Nutrafol vs Codeage Hair Vitamins

When we compared Nutrafol vs Codeage, we wanted to make sure the ingredients and quality of those ingredients were pretty equal.

Both Nutrafol and Codeage are made in the USA in GMP-certified facilities.

Both brands are also third-party tested.

Codeage Hair Vitamins nutrition label

Codeage vs Nutrafol ingredients

Codeage hair vitamins are proudly NON-GMO, soy-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free. We were not able to verify if Nutrafol Women hair vitamins were.

With that said, Nutrafol hair growth supplements do not list any gluten, dairy, soy, hormones, drugs, or artificial additives in its ingredients; however, it’s essential to note that while the label does not mention these ingredients explicitly, individuals with severe allergies or sensitivities should consult with a healthcare professional or contact the manufacturer directly for confirmation.

Where the Nutrition Overlaps

Both supplements contain vitamins A, C, D, and E.

They also include ingredients like Biotin, Selenium, and Zinc.

Additionally, both formulations feature proprietary blends containing similar ingredients such as Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen, Ashwagandha Extract, and Saw Palmetto Extract.

Who has the higher doses?

In terms of specific ingredients, the Codeage supplement offers higher doses of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Biotin compared to Nutrafol.

It also contains a larger amount of Vitamin E and a more comprehensive probiotic blend.

On the other hand, Nutrafol provides more Vitamin D and Selenium.

Distinguishing Differences Between Codeage and Nutrafol

Nutrafol’s unique ingredients include Sensoril® Ashwagandha Extract, BCM-95® Bio-Curcumin Turmeric Extract, and Hyaluronic Acid, which are not present in Codeage.

On the other hand, Codeage contains ingredients like Organic Amla Berry Extract, Shilajit Extract, and Tremella fuciformis, which are absent in Nutrafol.

Codeage also includes a hair health probiotic blend and a digestive enzyme blend which Nutrafol lacks.

Nutrafol also has custom formulas like Nutrafol Postpartum, Balance for women over 45, a vegan option, and more.

Unique Pros and Cons

Pill Size:

Codeage pills are a bit smaller and easier for us to swallow.

Price:

Nutrafol is $88 whereas Codeage is $39.99 for a month supply! That’s more than double for Nutrafol!

Customization:

Codeage Hair Vitamins aren’t as customized as Nutrafol’s. You can choose a hair vitamin based on your age, lifestyle, and gender through Nutrafol, but Codeage only offers the one hair vitamin.

Customer Service:

Customer service may vary depending on what you buy the hair vitamins. Not to spoil which brand we like the best, but we buy Codeage off Vitacost.

With that said, Codeage has a A+ on the Better Business Bureau with only 1 complaint in the last 3 years. Nutrafol has a B and over 160 complaints in the last 3 years.

Who has the best hair vitamin: Nutrafol or Codeage?

We chose Codeage’s Hair Vitamins because of the high quality ingredients, third-party testing, and price point.

The pills are also relatively easy to swallow compared to Nutrafol, too!

We also love that Codeage has Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Biotin, along with probiotics and digestive enzymes.

What about the ashwaganda and curcumin?

With that said, Nutrafol does have more ashwagandha Extract and curcumin turmeric extract than Codeage…which we really like.

We chose to take Codeage’s Curcumin Turmeric instead.

It’s very bioavailable, and this way if we stop taking hair vitamins, we still have our curcumin and ashwagandha in one supplement.

In our opinion, curcumin is our go-to supplement for better whole-body health. We take it and an Omega supplement.
