Best Times Serve Salami Roll Ups
If you’re not including these into your weekly meal prep yet, they’re definitely worth adding in! They’re considered keto and low carb friendly!
We also love these easy salami cream cheese roll ups for your next party, football game day tailgate, or in place of a charcuterie board!
They also make the perfect snack or appetizer for a Godfather Movie Night! We serve these with Clemenza’s sauce over spaghetti noodles, and cannoli dip! It was all so fun!
Choosing Your Salami
The star ingredient in these pinwheels is the salami slices!
If you’ve never tried salami before, it’s a blend of salty and savory. Sometimes it can also be sweet or smokey.
If you’re on a low carb or keto diet, you’ll need to make sure you pick up sugar-free salami slices.
You may also enjoy trying out different types of salami. You can get pork or beef. The most popular type is Genoa salami thought. It’s made with pork and seasoned with garlic, salt, black pepper, peppercorns, and dry red wine.
What’s the difference between hard salami and Genoa Salami?
Hard salami usually has less moisture which makes it drier and thus — harder than Genoa salami. Genoa salami has more fat, and the fat is what makes it softer.

We used Genoa salami for this easy appetizer or lunch idea!
The 3 Ingredients:
- 24 slices salami
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup banana peppers, finely chopped
You could also pepperoncini instead of banana peppers as well.
How to Make Keto Salami Roll Ups with Cream Cheese & Peppers
Place the salami on a cutting board in a flat layer, creating 3 rows of four slices.
Spread half the cream cheese over the salami and top with half the banana peppers.
Tightly roll the meat and cheese and wrap in plastic wrap.
Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
Refrigerate both rolls for at least one hour, then slice the rolls to create the pinwheels.
Customizing this Recipe
There are a few easy ways to customize this salami roll-ups recipe.
- You could add dill pickles instead of banana peppers or pepperoncini. All three options go great with the cream cheese and salami!
- You could also add in diced jalapeños, 1 tbsp horseradish, fresh dill, garlic salt, or paprika into the cream cheese mixture.
- If you’re big on cheese, you could also add in shredded cheddar, asiago, or pecorino cheese!
- Run out of salami? You could also try this roll-up with pastrami! It won’t be as easy to make into a roll-up though because pastrami is softer than salami.
