How do you make this detox drink?

This recipe is super easy to make and calls 5 ingredients to be added to water! 

Typically, I’ll make a batch and then drink it throughout the day.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 fresh, large lemons (sliced in half)
  • 2 2-inch pieces fresh ginger (peeled)
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp fresh black pepper 
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon of raw honey for sweetener (optional)

How to make lemon cayenne ginger water:

  • Bring your water to a boil
  • Slice your fresh lemons & peel your ginger
  • ground your turmeric (if it’s fresh)
  • turn off the heat, and add in your ingredients
  • wait 5-30 minutes while the plain water absorbs the ingredients. 

You can enjoy the water up to 24 hours later if you store it in the refrigerator, but we like to drink it fresh once it’s cooled down!

You can drink it warm or add ice cubes to make it refreshingly cold.

Ingredients

  • 2 large lemons (sliced in half)
  • 2 2-inch piece fresh ginger (peeled)
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp fresh black pepper 
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon of raw honey for sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring your water to a boil and turn off the heat once it's boiling.
  2. Add in your lemon, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and honey (optional).
  3. Wait 5-30 minutes while the water absorbs the ingredients. 
  4. Enjoy when it's cooled or up to 24 hours when refrigerated.
