What can you mix with Shakeology?
You can mix in anything to your Shakeology! You can also mix it just with cold water and ice if you don’t want to add any extra calories. If you’re going this route, I’d suggest 8 oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk with it though. It just makes it creamier.
You can also add in spinach to chocolate Shakeology, as well as, coffee, soy milk, peanut butter, PB2, fruit, extracts and spices like pure vanilla extract or a teaspoon cinnamon as well!
We’ll outline our favorite Shakeology recipes below! There are so many different ways to enjoy it that we hope this post inspires you to try a few new recipes this week!
How do you make Shakeology thicker?
Another reason that we love Shakeology is that it can be created to taste a bit differently each time. Sometimes it’s nice to have a thin liquid that you can easily drink in one gulp to get on with your day while other times, you can make it a bit thicker to enjoy like a milkshake.
The easiest way to make it thicker is to have less liquid in the shake and more of the other added in ingredients. Finding the consistency that you’re looking for might be a bit of a learning curve at first, but after a time or two, you’ll have it down in no time flat.
Now that you know a bit about Shakeology shakes, let’s dive in and see some of the simple Shakeology recipe options that you can easily create at home!

Tips to keep in mind for these Chocolate Shakeology Recipes
First off, don’t these Chocolate Shakeology Recipes sound legit amazing? They’re all super simple to make, too!
There are a few things to keep in mind when you’re creating these shakes so here are some simple tips to remember.
-
Count all the calories in your shakes
While it’s fun to create and add in ingredients, make certain that you’re counting all the calories for that scoop of nut butter and honey. They do add up and need to be on your radar when you’re working on eating more healthily.
-
Liquid choice matters
Making your shakes with water means fewer calories, but it also will mean less flavor as well. Using almond milk or another type of liquid will add to the sweetness but will also add to the calories, too.
-
Don’t mix by hand
No one wants a chunky shake…no one. While you might be tempted to stir it by hand, just don’t. A blender is always a better choice as it really breaks everything up and mixes it together perfectly. Plus, if you’re adding in frozen bananas or ice cubes, there’s no other way to really get those to break down besides using a blender.
We love this single-serve blender!
