Goals and Mindset
Just because it’s the holiday season doesn’t mean all of your hard work and healthy habits have to go out the window.
While lots of parties, obligations, and traveling can affect our schedule, we can find a balance to stay on track to our goals.
We help you find that balance in 6 Tips to Achieve Your Healthy Goals During the Holidays.
Working Out & Staying Active
One of your goals might be sticking to a workout routine or staying active during the holidays.
Since your normal routines may be affected don’t sweat it if you need to tweak your schedule. You’re still going to be working towards your goals even if you drop down to 3 workouts a week, take a short break, or work out at home.
Would you like to save this?
The important thing to remember is just do something! You don’t have to workout every day, but just going ice skating with your kids or shopping at the mall can burn extra calories.
Check out our guides to burning more calories and staying on track:
Stress Less
Stress is such a motivation crusher. While everyone is singing and the tree is twinkling, you might still feel like a Scrooge when you look at your to-do list for the week.
If nothing else, it’s important for us to identify when we are stressed and work ourselves out of it.
This may be asking for help from your family, cutting down on gifts, or saying no to a couple of those parties. We are all about prioritizing to de-stress.
Find 5 minutes for your own self-care routine and check out our 3 Simple Tips to Stress Less During the Holidays for more help!
Another great way we like to de-stress is with a fun Christmas movie on Netflix!
Stay Healthier or Get Over a Cold Faster
It never seems to fail, someone in our family always ends up with a cold. Last year that person was me. We had been to New York City the week before Christmas, and I came back with a nasty cold.
The best way to prevent colds and illnesses is to wash your hands regularly and encourage others to do as well. Also, injuries increase in the colder months. One way to avoid a silly fall is to sprinkle sand or salt on icy patches.
If you or someone you know does catch a cold, check out our Cold Remedies – 12 Secrets to Feel Better Faster post.
Bring Something Yummy
Don’t sweat it if you’re not a baker. We used to try so hard to bake the perfect pie or cook the best turkey. Then we wised up and started buying a better pie from the bakery and ordering a turkey from a local store.
This is somewhere you can easily delegate to save your time and stress less.
If you love to cook though, we have some amazing recipes for you to try!
Help Others
Don’t limit your healthy holidays to just you and your family. This season is the perfect time to volunteer or provide random acts of kindness.

How do you stay healthy while traveling? Especially overseas.
I totally agree! De-stressing is a must. If you think that you are over doing yourself, try to relax sometimes. Say no to some party and have a quality and quiet time with yourself once in awhile.
